Remembering Challenger - 40 years on.
Today, we remember the seven astronauts who lost their lives in the service of exploration, science, and the shared pursuit of knowledge. The Space Shuttle Challenger accident was a moment of profound national grief and became a turning point that reshaped how the United States approached safety, accountability, and responsibility in human spaceflight. President Ronald Reagan spoke not only of loss but of resolve - that honoring the fallen meant learning from failure and mov

Goals for 2026
We have reviewed our New Year's resolutions and have begun our strategic path to accomplishing our goals for this year. The project is now in the gradual transition from conceptual design to formal unveiling and pitching . We are reducing social media feed on our Facebook page to focus on engaging with relevant professional bodies behind the scenes to further develop groundwork; and in addition to form partnerships with various firms and public relations networks. New Year's Resolutions
Today, we kickstart the new year with our latest announcement and vision ahead: Our project’s founder, Raphael Chryslar, has visited the City of Chicago in December 2025. He had arranged a meeting with the planning representative - specifically the aldermen who have jurisdiction over the proposed site. The zone between S. Desplaines, W. Harrison, W. Taylor, and S. Canal streets, is governed by both the 25 and 28th wards. Chryslar conversed with the staff and shared our websit

Complex conceptual overview and next steps
A message from our founder Raphael Chryslar "Before this year is out (and what a success it has been to date) myself and our team have completed the task of developing the initial conceptual renders that highlight our idea - a rebirth of the American Twin Towers with a new purpose. Our team over the past couple weeks have embarked on a challenging program to refine our vision's groundwork and mature its scope before our next phase - the exposure to news media and stakeholder

Laboratory and Workshop/Office interiors
As the year draws to a close, our next batch of renders reveal what our laboratory and office space inside the World Tech Center towers may look like. An example floorplan has been published under our specifications page. It shows the layout of workspace amenities and the perimeter safety corridor with fire doors. This batch (among the subsequent general overview render) are the final renders to be made this year, in preparation for our upcoming showcase documentary and pres

New Interim Renders
A message from our founder Mr. Chryslar "After three long days of rendering and maxing out the computer's current capabilities, the interim renders showcasing the complex in all its magnificence with the Chicago skyline has been revealed! About 115 high resolution images and 28 exciting video clips have been produced, which would be published on our website and social media channels in the coming days after assembly. These will be used in conjunction with our Press Kit in pre

Open Heavens Observation Deck Preview
A message from our founder Raphael Chryslar "The past two weeks have been very busy with final year master's studies for Aerospace during the day. In that time the SketchUp model of the outdoor observation deck for the Technology North Tower has just been finished. It has been given the name " Open Heavens Observation Deck " - the highest outdoor platform in the Western Hemisphere, providing a magnificent vista to the heavens above. The trees and plants throughout the rooftop

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on Beams and Columns (first simulation)
An announcement from founder Raphael Chryslar "After a week of part modelling, assembly, and sorting out error messages related to mesh sizes and boundary conditions errors with composite parts, are the first FEA analysis results on individual parts of the World Tech Center Twin Towers' floor beams, vertical columns, and the UHPC concrete core section. These simulations took Chryslar several hours to compute (using university computers with limited specs). The vertical column

Structural beams and column design progress
A message from Raphael Chryslar (the founder): Using CATIA V5 (a sophisticated industry CAD software), I've been designing the structural columns and beams for the World Tech Center's Twin Towers. These images show his current work in progress in preparation for the Finite Element Analysis for structural performance determination. The vertical columns (my most challenging component to design) consist of 6cm thick steel plates welded into an oblong box shape, with a central 'I

Surrounding Buildings Elevations
A message from Raphael Chryslar - the project leader "In the last seven days, myself and my team (including my girlfriend) have produced these incredible preliminary elevations showcasing the surrounding buildings in their architectural beauty. Along with the two-block Hotel, Radio Music venue, Auditoriam Entrance, Bus terminal, and the Apple store, in a few weeks the SketchUp models will be produced, and subsequently a new fully-assembled render will be revealed. In the mean

Lobby core design and floor structural layout update
An update from Raphael Chryslar (project leader) New progrees has been achieved in the design of the arrangement of I-beams that form the floors. The setup of an FEA analysis would commence soon. Meanwhile, the core's aethetical appearance in the lobby is being designed, which will feature elegent blue and white marble with granite accents, inspired by the original World Trade Center. A central illuminated light strip add a 'heavenly' enrance to the internal corridors.

Next tasks update for August 2025
A message from project founder Raphael Chryslar "In the days since finishing the website up-to-date, the next tasks over the next two weeks are to produce the 3D model of the internal UHPC core in Sketchup (from my drawing from two months ago). This involves reading civil engineering manuals on slip-form core construction and steel embedding techniques, so that the floor beams can join both the core and perimeter columns. I will then publish new drawings of typical floorplans
